Dear friends, In this video I am showing how I am training Advaith to answer 'Yes' or 'No' questions using an app called Avaz. I started with common objects,then things used at home ,body parts and different concepts that he already mastered and then according to daily life situations. I tried this method with children who are verbal but echolalia was present and was not able to answer 'Yes' or 'No' questions.This method is helping both verbal and non verbal kids to use 'Yes' or 'No' meaningfully.I am sharing this video for fellow parents. Introduction I am Smrithy. On completion of Post Graduation in Mathematics, I started working as a lecturer. After marriage, I shifted to Bangalore with my husband and was enjoying my life as a house wife. We are blessed with two children, Adhithya who is 12 years old and studying in Class VII and Advaith, who is diagnosed with Autism. When my son was diagnosed with Autism, I decided to do a course in Special Education in Autism and now work as a Special Educator to assist other families and children with Autism. I am the Special Educator, Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Sports Instructor, for my son.
