Teaching Yes and No concepts using Avaz

Dear friends,

In this video I am showing how I am training Advaith to answer 'Yes' or 'No' questions using an app called Avaz. I started with common objects,then things used at home ,body parts and different concepts that he already mastered and then according to daily life situations. I tried this method with children who are verbal but echolalia was present and was not able to answer 'Yes' or 'No' questions.This method is helping both verbal and non verbal kids to use 'Yes' or 'No' meaningfully.I am sharing this video for fellow parents.

How i taught my son to type - Explained Step by Step

    My son had great difficulty with tripod grip and he was not able to write after his Early Intervention programs.so when he was 8 years old I decided to teach him typing and I taught him step by step. After that I started sharing that videos to help other kids.Lots of parents contacted me for the step by step procedure of typing and so again I am posting it for them. Q: Why structure is important for children with autism? Ans: Most of the children in the spectrum have high anxiety and they need predictable routines. ASD children will struggle if there are sudden changes in their daily routine. a  structured environment with visual schedule will help the child understand his day to day activities. It gives a clear idea about each activity including the beginning and the end. Like this structured environments helps the child reduce anxiety, confusion and behavior problems.
