Lesson plan Step 1: Giving a seed to plant it in a small pot and asking him to water and monitor everyday. When the plant is ready to replant it in a bigger pot, directing him to do that. Step 2: Showing different parts of the plant in different plants that are growing in our garden. Step 3: Taking a print out of a plant and explaining about different parts.  Addu learning time concepts. I made a clock like this to make him understand the minute concept. It was very difficult for him to understand in the beginning even though he has his own biological clock concept. We are progressing and he is able to find the correct time.   We can teach concepts using different mediums. I used to introduce concepts using objects in real situations and then pictures and then worksheets. I used to make worksheets for practicing various concepts using computer skills. In this worksheet Addu is marking right answers by changing font colours according to the colours given with questions. So Addu is learning academics and various computer skills. Today I am Sharing some information about how to improve social skills and how we can make our children connected to the environment. Involve your child in all household activities like putting clothes in the washing machine, folding and keeping in the right place, keeping plates to wash in the washbasin, washing plates, arranging plates and spoons, making them participate in festivals, and making them involved in shopping. The most important thing is instead of creating a situation, make opportunities in real time situations.Our life is not only table top activities.When you are taking your child to shops and restaurants, don't look into other people's reactions. You can focus on your child and can provide support to your child. Children may get over excited and hyper. Be patient and try to take things lightly by laughing with your child.Before going you can prepare your child by showing pictures of the shop and with the list of items that you are buying.I started focusing int

  Home schooling!! Is that a good option for children!! I am sharing my experience!!

  Advaith is 14 years old and I am focussing into functional academics. He has his own savings account and I taught him how to calculate the income and expense using addition and subtraction in Calculator. Now I introduced multiplication to him so that when he is getting big orders, it will be easy for him to calculate the income.  Today I would like to discuss the mental health of parents!! I am sharing some tips. 1. Accept the child the way they are. 2. Don't compare your child to other children. 3. Don't try to cure autism 4. Attend training programs and understand about autism. 5. Empower yourself 6. Believe in yourself that you are enough and you can do it. 7. Keep all the negative people away from your life. 8. Dont spend too much time in social media groups. 9. Plan your day properly by prepairing schedule. 10. Discuss with family members about your struggles and what support you need from them, if u have difficulties. 11. Don't expect that other people will understand your struggles( even your husband🤪). 12. Find a support system to share responsibilities like school, maid, cook or any care taker. 13. Quality time with your child is better than full time. 14. Don't compare your life with others. 15. Everyone has their own struggles. 16. Autism is not a tragedy 17. Work consistently with

  I used to plan a curriculum for Addu. I am introducing lessons that help him connect to the environment. At present we are doing lessons about different landforms. I made this study material with pictures and simple sentences. Here I am sharing the introduction part.

After introducing sight words to Addu, I was working on how he can make sentences and questions. For that long term goal this was my short term goal for this month. This is an important area where each parent should focus. When we are teaching reading, typing, writing, maths etc we should think how they are going to use it in their daily life. I am sharing an activity time with Addu where I am doing the real functional academics related to his daily life.
